Plenty of that Okanagan Sunshine! Silver Star blossoms all summer. Wild flowers in many colours decorate the mountainside and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen on the mountain and from the chairlift. Go for a trail ride with Silver Star Trail Rides or join our on-mountain naturalist, Roseanne Van Ee, for a Mountain Wildflower or Bears and Berries Tour. These are guided downhill tours of the mountain where Roseanne talks about wildflowers and wildlife as well as our local history.

Did someone mention mountain biking?

ImageSilver Star offers world class mountain biking starting at the end of June (once the snow melts). Host to the 1994 World Cup Final for cross-country and downhill biking, Silver Star has since hosted several Canada Cup events as well as the 1998 National Mountain Bike Championships. As a result, Silver Star and the Lord Aberdeen Hotel have accommodated both World Cup and Olympic medallists. Of course, you do not have to be ranked top in the world to enjoy Silver Star's trails, everyone can have fun on the multileveled trail network. You can even take your mountain bike up on the chair lift and ride down. Now that's fun!
